Meet the concierge team of Hotel Okura Amsterdam
Amsterdam has so much to offer, from canal boat tours to world-renowned museums. Our concierge team is here to provide you with city information and service in the broadest sense of the word; from transport services, family activities, shopping suggestions and walking routes to ticket service, canal cruises, biking routes and detailed maps of the most charming neighbourhoods. We are always on hand to share the ins and outs of the city with you. Our concierge team is dedicated to making your visit exceptional, by offering authentic recommendations to places where we would go ourselves. Let us introduce ourselves.
Lex: ‘’What I love about Amsterdam is its history, and I can talk about it for hours. It is my true passion to provide you with the best suggestions and recommendations.
I am member of Les Clefs d’Or, a worldwide association of professional hotel concierges. Les Clefs d’Or concierges can accommodate, provide or accomplish everything you need.
My favourite places in Amsterdam are Van Gogh Museum and Rijksmuseum. In addition, taking a canal cruise through Amsterdam’s historic waterways is one of the best ways to explore the city. These guided boat trips offer unparalleled views of the centuries-old architecture, charming canal houses and monuments.
I am happy to assist you with arranging tickets for my favourite spots or other highlights in Amsterdam.’’
Caroline: ‘’As a concierge it is my mission to make sure that you experience the exquisite. At Hotel Okura Amsterdam we stand for Omotenashi – the art of Japanese service, with a focus on every little detail. Whenever you drink, eat or sleep with us, you will experience this.
In August 2021 I also received the prestigious golden keys of Les Clefs d’Or. I am proud to be one of the three female members. Every single day is different, with a lot of unexpected requests, and that is what makes my job remarkable.
My favourite places in Amsterdam are Anne Frank House and the Hermitage. On my day off my favourite activity to do in the city is cycling or walking through our beautiful little streets. You can also go for a walk with a private guide who gives you insights and narrates about the history of all Amsterdam’s must-see places.
I look forward to meeting you in person and sending you to the best places Amsterdam has to offer.”
