How many guests can stay in one room?
Each room accommodates up to two guests. Additionally, our Junior Suites and Suites offer the option to add an extra bed, allowing a third guest to stay comfortably.

Is Hotel Okura Amsterdam family-friendly?
Children below 12 are not charged for their stay. If you book a family stay, you will have the pleasure of staying in one of our adjoining rooms, allowing for privacy and comfort.

Can I have a king or twin bed during my stay?
We will do our utmost to accommodate your preferences; however, we cannot guarantee the availability of a specific bed type.

What kind of adapter is used in the Netherlands?
All our rooms are equipped with sockets compatible with English, Swiss, French, and Dutch plugs (type C and F). For travelers from the United States, we recommend bringing an adapter. If you need an adapter during your stay, please feel free to contact Reception – we’re happy to assist you.

Is there a coffee machine in the room?
All of our rooms are equipped with a Nespresso machine.

Do all rooms have a Japanese toilet?
Not all of our rooms are equipped with a Japanese toilet. This feature is available exclusively in our Panorama Rooms and Luxury Suites.

Do all rooms have air conditioning?
All our hotel rooms are equipped with air conditioning.

Do all rooms have an iron and ironing board?
Every room is equipped with an iron and ironing board, conveniently located in the wardrobe.

Which TV channels are available in my hotel room?
National and selected international TV channels are available at no charge. In all hotel rooms, there is a Chromecast available to stream from your own device.

What type of bedding do the rooms in Hotel Okura Amsterdam have?

Is Hotel Okura Amsterdam situated near the city center?
The hotel is located in cosmopolitan De Pijp neighbourhood and the Museum Quarter is an easy, scenic stroll from the hotel. Amsterdam’s hot spots are easily accessible via public transport. Or try the Dutch way and explore by bike.

How is the area surrounding the hotel like?
The hotel is located in De Pijp, a peaceful neighborhood in Amsterdam. There is no need to worry about your safety at night, but we do recommend taking the usual precautions you would follow when visiting any busy city.

How long does it take to get from the airport to Hotel Okura Amsterdam?
It will take approximately 15 minutes by car and 30 minutes by public transport.

How can I make a group reservation?

What is the dress code in the restaurants of Hotel Okura Amsterdam?
We kindly ask you to follow our 'smart casual' dress code (no shorts above the knee for men, no flip-flops, and no caps or hats).

If booking for a group, should we decide the menu beforehand?
We recommend this to ensure a smooth dining experience. The dishes in our restaurants are very delicate and time consuming to prepare. Deciding the menu last minute can result in longer waiting times.

Can I get a table by the window?
You are welcome to share your preference with us. We will do our utmost to accommodate your request for a window table, but we cannot guarantee it.

I have an allergy/special diet. Do you take this into account?
We want everyone to enjoy our gastronomic experience, whatever your dietary requirements are. Please share any dietary or allergy information with us beforehand.

What is the difference between Sazanka and Yamazato Restaurant?
While both restaurants specialize in Japanese cuisine, Teppanyaki Restaurant Sazanka offers an interactive live cooking experience, where the chef prepares dishes on a hot iron griddle right in front of you. In contrast, Yamazato Restaurant serves authentic and refined Japanese Kaiseki cuisine in a traditional and more intimate setting.

Should we pick a menu for Sazanka beforehand?
At Teppanyaki Restaurant Sazanka and Yamazato Restaurant, an à la carte menu is not available. Guests are kindly invited to choose from a variety of set menus.

Is it possible to eat sushi at Sazanka?
Sushi is not served at Sazanka.

Is private dining possible at Serre?
Serre is a single open space. Therefore private dining is unfortunately not possible in this restaurant. However, two large tables located in the center of the restaurant are ideal for group dining.

Is the Twenty Third Bar only accessible to hotel guests?
Twenty Third Bar warmly welcomes both hotel guests and external visitors.

Is breakfast included in the room price?
This depends on your booking. You can find this in your confirmation email. If it is not included, you can add it to your booking by contacting our Reservations Department via reservations@okura.nl or +31 20 6788 300. The price for breakfast is €42 for an adult. For children, the following prices apply: free of charge up to 3 years old, €21 for ages 4 to 11, €42 from age 12 onwards.

How do you serve breakfast?
Breakfast is available either in the breakfast restaurant Le Camelia, which offers a buffet with both Western and Japanese options, or via room service.
Le Camelia is open Monday to Friday from 07:00 to 11:00, and on Saturday and Sunday from 07:00 to 11:30. Room service breakfast is available daily from 06:00 to 12:00.

Can you send me my invoice from my last visit?
Please contact our Front Desk via info@okura.nl. They can send you the invoice of your last visit.

How long does it take until my deposit is back on my credit card?
This depends on your credit card company. We release the deposit immediately after check-out.

Are you going to charge my credit card in advance?
For room bookings, we pre-authorize €0.01 on your credit card to prevent credit card fraud. This amount will be deducted from your total invoice.

Can the booking or reservation also be paid by third parties?
We can provide you with an authorization form or a payment link to guarantee or settle the reservation on behalf of someone else.

Which payment options can I use in the hotel and restaurants?
You can pay with the following payment methods: American Express, China Union Pay, Diners Club, Discover, JCB, Maestro, MasterCard and VISA. You can also use ApplePay in the hotel.

How can I buy a gift card?
Okura’s gift cards can be purchased and collected 24 hours a day at the Front Desk of Hotel Okura Amsterdam. If you are unable to visit, you can opt for a digital gift card, which will be sent to you via email.

What is the additional charge for an extra bed?
Our Junior Suites and Signature Suites offer the possibility to add an extra bed to the room. The cost for an extra bed is €70 per night.

Why do I have to give my credit card details?
We require credit card information to guarantee your bookings. Please note that a cancellation fee of €25 applies for Serre and Sazanka, and €100 for Ciel Bleu and Yamazato. For room reservations booked at a flexible rate, cancellation is free of charge up to 24 hours before arrival. Cancellations after this period, or bookings made with non-flexible rates, will be charged the full room price.

Is there a deposit required at check-in?
We kindly ask guests to provide a deposit upon check-in, which can be done either in cash or by credit card authorization. You have two options:
- A cash deposit of €200 per night to cover the room charges and any incidental expenses in our restaurants or Nagomi Spa.
- A pre-authorization of €100 per night on your credit card.
(A credit card pre-authorization works like a regular charge, but instead of actually debiting the amount, the hotel places a temporary hold on the funds for the duration of your stay.)

Where can I print my documents at Hotel Okura Amsterdam?
Please send your document to the concierge and ask them to print your documents. They are more than happy to assist you.

Does the hotel have a Business Center?
The Business Center is located on the -1 floor of our hotel. When you enter the lobby, you’ll find the Business Center by taking the stairs down on your right.

Is there Wi-Fi available at the hotel?
Complimentary high-speed Wi-Fi is available throughout the hotel. To access the internet, please select the network “Okura.” No username or password is required.

Are pets allowed at the hotel?
Unfortunately, we do not allow pets in the hotel premises. Exceptions are only made for service dogs.

I seem to have lost a personal belonging. What is the procedure?
If you have misplaced any personal belongings during your stay, we kindly ask you to submit a lost item report through Foundit. Once the report is submitted, we will carefully search for your lost items. If a match is found, you will receive an email notification.
Should you choose to collect the item in person, we kindly ask you to complete a handover form upon retrieval.

Can I park my car at Hotel Okura Amsterdam and what does it cost?
We offer ample parking facilities, including electric vehicle charging stations. The parking fee is €6.50 per hour. Hotel guests pay a fixed rate of €65 per 24 hours.

We would be more than happy to store your luggage before and after your stay.

Does the hotel have newspaper delivery?
We have 2 complimentary newspapers available, New York Times and De Telegraaf. If you have other preferences in terms of newspapers, please kindly place an order through reception.

Is it possible to get an early check-in?
Enjoy your stay at Okura a little longer by upgrading your reservation with an early check-in, available from 10:00 AM. We offer this as an add-on for €120. You can request this option via reservations@okura.nl. Please note that it is subject to availability. Additionally, you can comfortably store your luggage with us and make use of our wellness facilities.

Can I have a late check-out?
We offer late check-out as an add-on for €109, allowing you to extend your stay at Okura until 5:00 PM. You can request this option via reservations@okura.nl. Please note that it is subject to availability.

You can purchase public transport tickets at our front desk. We offer the following options:

Are there any taxis available at the hotel?
We have a taxi stand located directly in front of the hotel, ensuring taxis are always readily available.

Can I rent a bike at the hotel?
Hotel Okura Amsterdam offers its own bikes for rent through the concierge. The cost is €18.50 per 24 hours. If you would like to use the bike rental service, please contact the concierge at concierge@okura.nl or +31 (0)20 6787444.

Can the hotel arrange a babysitter?
We would be happy to arrange a babysitter for you. The cost is €45 per hour, and after midnight €55 per hour (+ €20 taxi fee). Please note there is a minimum booking of three hours for this service.

Can I make use of Nagomi Gym & Wellness when I am not a hotel guest?
Nagomi Gym & Wellness is only accessible to hotel guests, guests of Nagomi Spa, and private members.

The swimming pool is heated to a pleasant 28 degrees Celsius.

What is the length of the swimming pool?
The swimming pool measures 18 meters in length, making it ideal for swimming laps.

What is the difference between Nagomi Gym & Wellness and Nagomi Spa Treatments?
Nagomi Gym & Wellness offers access to the indoor swimming pool, hot tub, sauna, and gym, all included in your hotel stay. Nagomi Spa Treatments focuses on providing specialized spa treatments.

Are there any age restrictions at the hotel?
You have to be 18 or older to make a booking or reservations at our hotel. The legal age for purchasing and consumption of alcohol in the Netherlands is 18 years.

Is it possible to smoke in the room?
As per Dutch law, Hotel Okura Amsterdam is a non-smoking hotel. Please note that a fee of €250 will be charged for any violations. For guests who wish to smoke, a designated smoking area is available outside at the front of the hotel.
