Hotel Okura Amsterdam Unveils Exclusive Holiday Pastries
Hotel Okura Amsterdam ushers in the holiday season with the return of its Pop-up Pastry once more, a celebration of artisanal pastry craft for which the hotel is renowned. Set within the hotel’s lobby, the pop-up offers an inviting showcase of exclusive creations enriched with a refined Japanese touch.
Open from Tuesdays - Sundays until 24th of December, the Pop-up Pastry presents an elegant collection of handcrafted delights, including choux pastries, millefeuille, macarons, madeleines, chocolate truffles, and festive chocolate creations. Each piece is designed as a miniature celebration—thoughtfully composed, visually striking, and made to be shared.
Enriched with a Japanese Touch
This year’s menu showcases a refined balance of European pâtisserie and Japanese flavours. Highlights include:
- Festive Choux filled with hojicha, maple syrup, orange, and almond
- Millefeuille featuring spiced speculaas and Valrhona Dominican 80% chocolate
- Rudolfinha with Baileys, coffee, and Okinawa brown sugar
- Christmas Bell, a combination of chestnut, hazelnut, and kinako, which is a finely ground powder made from roasted soybeans
- Christmas Wreath blending vanilla, chocolate, and cherries
The macaron collection introduces seasonal pairings such as cranberry–coconut, pistachio–matcha, and champagne–red fruit, while madeleines appear in flavours including white sesame, matcha, and chocolate-cinnamon.

are available as cakes for
10 people, exclusively by pre-order.
Orders can be placed until 16 December, with pickup on 23 or 24 December.

Pop-up Pastry - Festive Season is open from Tuesdays - Sundays, November 28 to December 24, welcoming guests in the hotel lobby from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
