OUR CONCIERGE'S GUIDE TO THE BEST TULIP AND CHERRY BLOSSOM SPOTS

When we talk about Spring in Amsterdam, tulips probably come to mind first. But it’s not just the tulips that are worth visiting. The city’s cherry blossoms are just as beautiful. For a truly memorable visit, let our concierge guide you to the best tulip fields and cherry blossom spots in and around Amsterdam.
KEUKENHOF
No guide to tulips is complete without Keukenhof. With over 7 million hand-planted bulbs and 800 tulip varieties, this garden stretches across 15 km of walking paths. Discover scenic ponds, pavilions with restaurants and terraces, and hundreds of stunning cherry blossom trees scattered throughout the gardens.
Bollenstreek
The region surrounding Keukenhof, known as the Bollenstreek, is home to endless colorful flower fields. Top spots include Lisse, Noordwijk, Voorhout, Sassenheim, and Warmond. There is even a Bollenstreek car route to explore the most beautiful fields.
CHERRY BLOSSOM PARK AT AMSTERDAMSE BOS
A unique piece of Japan in the Netherlands. Every spring, four hundred flowering cherry blossom trees attract thousands of visitors at Amsterdamse Bos. The trees were donated in the year 2000 by the Japanese Women’s Club. Each tree has a name: two hundred hold a Japanese female name and two hundred a Dutch female name.
TULIP FESTIVAL AMSTERDAM
Every April, the Tulip Festival brings tulips to more than 85 locations across the city center. A few examples of these locations include Museumplein, Vondelpark and the Rijksmuseum gardens. It’s a beautiful way to experience tulips in an urban setting.
WESTERPARK
Another top spot to see cherry blossoms in Amsterdam is Westerpark. Cherry blossom trees are scattered throughout the park, making it a peaceful and less crowded alternative to the main cherry blossom gardens.
