In the city of bikes… You cycle through Amsterdam which is not only healthy, but practical and fun too. It might be hard to imagine for any foreigner, but for the locals it is the easiest way to get from one place to another. The city of Amsterdam counts a total length of 400 km of biking lanes and nearly every inhabitant owns its own bike. Did you know there are more bikes than residents? For tourists a bike can be very interesting as well. You can rent a bike at our concierge team.

Amsterdam by bike

Biking along the canals is an excellent option for those who prefer to admire the water from a slight distance. The various city districts of Amsterdam all have a different vibe and exploring these areas is a great opportunity to get acquainted with the diversity of Amsterdam. The posh ‘Amsterdam Oud-Zuid’ with its stately mansions and well known Vondelpark is very different from the charming Jordaan where you can wander through the narrow streets and unique hidden courtyards (‘hofjes in Dutch).  It is also highly recommended to leave the hustle and bustle of the city behind and follow the track of the Amstel River.
