Serre

Discover relaxed dining at Serre. Hotel Okura Amsterdam’s restaurant offering exquisitely crafted dishes all day. Recognised by Michelin with a Bib Gourmand, Serre prides itself on quality cuisine at excellent prices. Therefore, we offer our internationally inspired 3 or 4-course Bibendum menus.

The light-filled restaurant is an airy spot for a delicious breakfast, a well-deserved glass of wine, a relaxed lunch or a romantic dinner. On our menu, that is created by Arjan Speelman, you will find simplicity at its very best. From beers and bitterballen to caviar and Dom Perignon, and everything in between.

In the warmer months you can have a seat at our favourite spot: the sunlit terrace overlooking the water, and easily accessible by boat. At the beginning of spring you can enjoy Serre’s magical scenery with its beautiful white and pink cherry blossom. Serre is the place in Amsterdam where relaxing, resting and enjoying are highly valued.

Bib Gourmand

In addition to the Michelin star, Michelin also has another qualification, the Bib Gourmand, which represents excellent value for money and is awarded to restaurants offering quality cuisine. In Serre the Bibendum menu exists of 3 or 4 courses as well. Like the Michelin star, the Bib Gourmand has become a concept, too. It shows that qualified gourmet dining does not need to be expensive. Why it is called Bib? Bib is the abbreviation of Bibendum, the Michelin man.

WHAT DO THE CRITICS SAY?

MICHELIN GIDS

“Like Okura’s other restaurants, quality is at the heart of this chic luxury brasserie, which has a beautiful canal-side terrace. Excellent products support the internationally tinged cuisine here. The chef uses preparations from various cooking styles and unites them into dishes that are downright delicious.”

Winespijs

“Not quite the same as the other restaurants at Hotel Okura Amsterdam. In fact, this is a cozy brasserie, where you enjoy beautiful plates of dishes from different countries. All this in the cozy environment of Serre, which is anything but static. “

GIRL WHO MAGAZINE

“Just believe us that this is an absolute must for those who want to dine really well but don’t want to or can’t spend too much on this. Here you get star service and food at very reasonable prices. The team at Serre packs you in a makes for an extremely tasty evening.”
