Three new acquisitions within Hotel Okura Amsterdam

Amsterdam, October 7th 2011 — As of September 2011 Hotel Okura Amsterdam welcomed three new employees. Director Food & Beverage – Christophe Delabarre, Manager Marketing & Communications — Melissa Peters and Health Club Manager — Erik van Egmond. The new faces within the company are an asset for Hotel Okura Amsterdam.
Christophe_Delabarre_Director of Food & Beverage Christophe Delabarre has gained experience in various international five star hotels from around the world including Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group where he also fulfilled the position of acting Director of Food & Beverage. “The moment I walked into Hotel Okura Amsterdam, I knew I wanted to work for this company, how can I hesitate joining a hotel which offers the best fine dinning restaurants and bars with great ambiance. The various cuisines in the hotel are unique and I look forward to work in Amsterdam and bring some new ideas.”

Manager Marketing & Communications Melissa Peters started her career in the event and catering industry in San Francisco. During this time she organised events for different kind of companies like: Oracle, Goldman Sachs, Yahoo! and H&M. After her return in Holland she worked for several years as a Product Manager in the online media. “Working for a prestigious hotel as Hotel Okura Amsterdam is a big challenge. I can’t wait to start to combine my online and offline marketing knowledge and to give a maximum contribution to the exposure of the hotel and the restaurants”.

The new Health Club Manager Erik van Egmond worked in Erik_van_Egmondvarious health clubs before and has a wide knowledge of personal training and nutrition. “I’m looking forward to work with my team to even a higher service level in a leading and inspiring environment”. Health and sport are increasing; a good Health Club Manager can’t be missed in our hotel.

About Hotel Okura Amsterdam
Hotel Okura Amsterdam is situated on the edge of the city centre, close to a large number of cultural landmarks. The hotel has 301 luxury rooms, including the ‘SUITE’ the most spacious (485 m2) and luxurious suite in the BeNeLux countries.
