Bib Gourmand for Serre Restaurant – Inspired by Ciel Bleu
Three Hotel Okura Amsterdam Restaurants Awarded by MichelinAmsterdam, 7 November 2011 – Today Okura’s Serre Restaurant was awarded a Bib Gourmand by Michelin. Serre Restaurant took over the award from former brasserie Le Camelia. Besides the two Michelin starred French restaurant Ciel Bleu and the traditional Japanese Yamazato Restaurant, proud owner of one Michelin star, Serre Restaurant is now the third restaurant in Hotel Okura Amsterdam, which has been awarded by Michelin. To celebrate this achievement, the Bibendum menu is extended with a complimentary fourth course from 7 until 15 November.
Marc van der Tang, Chef de Cuisine of Serre Restaurant: "By pursuing a perfect balance between price, quality and creativity in the form of the Bibendum menu, we hoped to take over the Bib Gourmand. It's great that Michelin gives us this recognition."
Serre Restaurant opened its doors at the beginning of 2011. The international restaurant takes its inspiration from Ciel Bleu, where the quality and style that the two Michelin starred restaurant is renowned for are presented with a light touch, enabling a wider audience to get acquainted with the essence of Ciel Bleu’s cuisine.
