Taste of Okura – Culinary Center
Are you looking for a teambuilding activity? Or would you like to learn how to cook inspired by Michelin-starred chefs? You’ll find the perfect kitchen to do this in the basement of the Hotel Okura Amsterdam. It’s the kitchen of starred chefs as Masanori Tomikawa (*) and Onno Kokmeijer (**). But it is also your kitchen. The beating heart of the Taste of Okura takes the form of three ivory-white cooking islands. Around these units, Chef de Cuisine Louise O’Hare gives cooking workshops at every level, from beginners to the more experienced hobby cooks. Together with Taste of Okura’s chefs, you’ll prepare the dishes. As a result of the culinary diversity within Hotel Okura Amsterdam, workshops will be held about Japanese (sushi and teppanyaki) and French as well as international cuisine. Afterwards you will enjoy the meal you have prepared, together with your fellow participants in Taste of Okura’s dining area. The Wine Room at the Taste of Okura is the venue for wine courses and sake tastings. You may join in Taste of Okura workshops as an individual, as a group or for a business event.
