Okura - Hotel Amsterdam

Extended because of success until the 8th of July: Three-course menu and ticket to Departures for € 36
Are you looking to enjoy an stylish evening or afternoon in a Japanese/Dutch atmosphere? Then visit Hotel Okura's Le Camelia Brasserie, at less than 5 minutes' walking distance from the Rialto cinema, before you go to see <departures>. Departures was produced in Japan and won the Oscar for Best Foreign Language Film. From May 28th until July 8th it will be possible to combine a special three-course menu at the Okura's Le Camelia Brasserie on Monday through Thursday with a ticket for <departures> for €36.00.
The menu is presented in the context of the Nihonoranda festival (April 3rd until August 30th), celebrating 400 years of Japanese-Dutch trade relations. It is based on European cuisine and inspired by the favourite dishes of Dr Von Siebold, a German scientist who spent several years working for the Dutch government on the Japanese island of Deshima, where he became one of the best-known ‘Hollanders'. At the brasserie there will be a strong focus on the cultural exchange that resulted from the trade relations, of which the blue Delftware inspired by Japanese chinaware is a tangible manifestation. You will end your meal with a cup of Japanese green tea, after which you will depart for Rialto, where your <departures> ticket will be held for you at the box office.
Reservations are required for this special deal. See www.rialtofilm.nl for the film's starting times. Depending on the film's starting time and/or your own preferences, the menu can be served either as a lunch or as a dinner. To make a reservation (at least one day in advance) via Hotel Okura phone 020-6787450 and mention Rialto.
